He grows up to be muscular and compact, and may take on the tan and black coloring of the parent breeds. German Shepherds tend to shed heavily, and so can this mix. Regular grooming will help maintain a shiny and healthy coat. His ears may stand up naturally, or remain flopped on the sides of his head. Ear cropping and tail docking is common in Dobermans, but isn’t mandatory.
►One can’t stress enough on the need to socialize and train these dogs since puppyhood. Both parents are renowned for their protective nature and guarding instincts; therefore, the Doberman Shepherd naturally takes on them. Socialize this puppy with people, children, and other pets, and train him to follow voice commands since an early age.
