Most people like their pets to sleep with them, in their beds. That said there is a good argument for a dog to learn to sleep in her own bed from time to time. Training “Go to Bed” is a great place to start.
Buy a Suitable Dog Bed
If the dog likes to stretch himself, buy a cushion bed. If he likes to curl up, buy a donut bed. Older dogs might require heated beds, orthopedic beds, or customized beds of proper memory foam. Even with a puppy, do not compromise on the bed quality. When it comes to buying dog beds spending extra money for removable covers and even washable cushioning comes in very handy in the event of an accident and is healthier for all.
Place the bed where to temps are comfortable so not in a garage and not in the sun.
