The Yorkshire Terrier is a popular toy dog breed that originated in Yorkshire, England in the 1800. The exact origin of these dogs is not known. They can adjust to the new environment and surroundings quickly. They are also vulnerable to some health problems like hypoglycemia, digestive problems and vertebral problems.

It is a popular misconception that Teacup Yorkshire Terrier is a different breed of dog. It is only a term used for smaller or miniature Yorkies. They are extremely tiny, weigh maximum up to 5 pounds and can fit into a teacup or a purse. They are lovable pets but also require a lot of attention. Due to their smaller physique, they have serious health and behavior problems.
