Call them designer dogs, mixed breed dogs, or hybrid dogs, crossbreeding poodles with other breeds is quite common in the United States. Read the DogAppy article to find information about the same.
In the United States, the trend of Poodle mixes or intraspecies hybrid is very common. I guess it has something to do with the fact that Poodles are one of the dog breeds that don’t shed and also because they are very intelligent. Which is why many professional breeders are mixing different breeds with Poodle. The popularity has increased so much in the past few years that breeders are even making designer dogs with Poodles. Now if you don’t know what a designer dog is, let me explain. The breeder takes 2 purebred dogs and breeds them to get the designer dog.
Since we have that confusion out of the way, we will now see what are the different mixes or hybrids out there. Now, here as well I’d like to take a small detour and tell you that a hybrid dog is not a separate dog breed. When you read hybrid anywhere, it means that dog has been mixed with more than 1 purebred dog. And now we get back to our article at hand and see which are some hybrid Poodles we can find.

We also have information on Poodle Terrier mix, if you would like to read in detail.
If you are interested in adopting any of these mixes, you can visit different websites for information. However, I’d like to point out the fact that there are a few breeders who don’t follow the correct technique and/or aren’t qualified to mix breeds together. Which is why, before you adopt a dog(s), find out any and all information you can about that particular breeder.
