Why Pet Pros Is a Favorite Among Washington Pet Owners

Home / Pet Resources / Why Pet Pros Is a Favorite Among Washington Pet Owners

As an independent pet supply business, Pet Pros is a local favorite among pet owners in Washington state. With a wide selection of pet products for many kinds of animals and convenient locations around the Evergreen State, it’s easy to understand why Pet Business magazine named the company its 2019 Retailer of the Year.

If you’re looking for a pet store near Seattle, Pet Pros has you covered. In this post, you can find out more about the company’s origins, locations, services, discounts, reviews, and more.

What is Pet Pros?

Established in 1986 in Seattle, Pet Pros is a local pet store serving Washingtonians and their furry friends. The company now operates 18 locations around the state, with outposts in Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, Bothell, Issaquah, Puyallup, and more. Thanks to its growth over its nearly 35-year history, the business is now one of the biggest independent pet supply retailers in the Pacific Northwest.

Whether you have a cat, dog, rodent, fish, bird, or reptile, you can find a variety of products in-store and online. From food and treats to toys to supplies, you should be able to pick up most of your must-have pet items at one of their stores.

But like most other pet supply retailers, the stores mainly stock products for dogs and cats. At Pet Pros, dog owners can purchase their pup’s favorite food brands, like ACANA, Natural Balance, and ORIJEN. For those with feline friends, you’ll find the usual cat food brands, including KOHA, ZIWI Peak, and Tiki Cat.

Can I get vet care in-store?

In addition to its selection of pet supplies, Pet Pros also offers its customers access to affordable veterinary service. This care is provided through a partnership with Good Neighbor Vet, a mobile veterinary clinic that operates around the PNW.

On Saturdays and Sundays, you can bring your dog or cat to your neighborhood store for essential vet services. Good Neighbor Vet provides vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping for both dogs and cats. Cats can also get tested for FeLV and FIV, and dogs can get heartworm testing.

Does Pet Pros offer any discounts?

Whether you’re a new shopper or a frequent customer, Pet Pros has a number of discounts for budget-conscious pet owners. For example, new customers can get 20% off their first purchase, and loyalty members can get free food, treats, litter, and more. Plus, seniors, military service members, and veterans are eligible for a 5% discount on in-store purchases.

You’ll also want to check the company website or sign up for the newsletter to find out about monthly specials on food and other pet products.

What do pet owners think?

According to Yelp and Google reviews, pet owners love shopping at Pet Pros. Its locations average 4.5+ stars on review sites, with customers praising the company’s wide selection of products and friendly and knowledgeable staff.
